If you're not working at doing nothing, then you are so not understanding the flow of Nature. In fact, you become the antithesis of that flow. The more we spin from the center of natural flow, the tighter our tether stretches, and we will be drawn back to nothingness by living rightly, or it will snap and we will extinguish ourselves. There is no “solution;” it’s a myth.

Healing Through Unification

September 10, 2010

The body is not simply mechanical, but progressive; it changes organically. If it were mechanical, then any body could be re-started in any state, like a car, but this is not so. Cells die, and no amount of “jump start” can ignite the body when the life force leaves permanently. Earth is a progressive organism. Science says that Earth is not really "alive," because it does not breathe, eat, eliminate, and reproduce in the same manner that we "living" beings do. Earth doesn't follow the description that we've invented for a living being, and some say it is not a living organism because it has no conscience in the way we define our sentience. But many feel that Grandmother Earth is a living being regardless of a restricted employment of a language of science that humans have invented to categorize and quantify the processes of the Universe.

Many see Earth as an organism comprised of a synergy of living systems. Many feel the energy of Grandmother Earth, her spirit, in the breath of the winds, the heartbeat of the pulsating oceans, the eruptions of her internal fires, the flow of blood of the rivers and streams, and in the recycling of nutrients in the placenta of the soils. So it may be scientifically "unreasonable" to say that Earth is alive, but it is far from being a wrong or ridiculous position. Even atoms and all forms of energy have some construct of consciousness, albeit not a protocol of thought, as we have. Earth, of course, expresses consciousness through the perpetuation of systems of living and dying. But to extend just a little further with respect to our place here: If all systems of Nature are combined to be the living organism, then it follows that our own minds must be the collective mind of Grandmother Earth: consciousness of the Universe acknowledging itself. Unfortunately, we are allowing Ego to infect our Mother organism as we perpetuate our pathology.

In our bodies, which are reflective of Earth and our siblings here, we can strengthen our minds and bodies by unifying with the Universe, which means to extend Ki and allow Universal Ki to fill us, which means maintaining a relaxed and positive state. Positivity comes from peace, which is derived from the mind and body and actions being coordinated; in other words, living in a way that we do not contradict our principles. Principles derived from Nature benefit all beings, as long as they are not contorted and bastardized through influences of Ego. Principles from Ego only serve the few at the expense of others, which fosters the cancer, the disease of the minds and bodies of us and Grandmother Earth.

As we heal our “own” minds through acknowledging our souls and spirits, we inevitably heal the collective mind of Grandmother Earth. This acknowledgment must come from freeing ourselves of being controlled by Ego, by thoughts, attachments, fears, and desires, but instead using the Ego as a tool to help us understand and interpret communication from the Whole through our feelings (not emotions: emotions come from beliefs, feelings come from innate, even inexplicable "movement" beyond the physical senses), visions, dreams, etc. This is accomplished by releasing the grip of Ego by letting go of all thought and anticipation. This is further facilitated by maintaining the One Point (at the hara), and constantly extending Ki (unconditional, healing Love).

The exercises of Aikido accomplish this because one must maintain that center when exploring the movements, turning the forms of techniques into a formless second nature action, a mere echo of another action in the Universe. They do not work through brute force (Ego), but are only accomplished while relaxed and even joyous, but certainly while at peace. Aikido not only establishes your personal center (which is everywhere in the infinite universe), but also teaches you how to work in conjunction with others, while their centers may be troubled, or aggressive, or otherwise. This then brings harmony to the Universe. The extension of Aikido (more of an aspect than an extension, actually) is living rightly. This, of course, means upholding natural law, which means to live in a manner of compassion and justice for all life and all natural systems, so that all beings benefit. And it is by this way that we may begin to heal Grandmother Earth. ;)

"Science is a language Man created to describe Nature. Adhering to Science in and of itself is similar to adhering to literal translations of a Holy Book. This is not the true essence of Science. One must learn the Science of Spirit, as well as the physical, in order to wholly grasp Truth. To separate the two is catastrophic folly. Science must be utilized to protect Nature and bring health to all beings, rather than being utilized to exploit Nature and separate ourselves from Nature. Not grasping the spiritual aspect of existence is a thought-trap of science, of the Ego, believing that the physical, measurable quantifiers are the only reality and truth. It is a personal form of denial, even widely accepted amongst peers in the scientific community, just as any other religion that excludes open-mindedness and forsakes that Nature is not separable into specialized pieces, but rather must function as a whole, so that even the currently "inexplicable" must still be considered as very real and integral to Truth."
